  (1) Student and Faculty Exchange

     -  A list of UGA's current student exchange partners is available here.

     - Click HERE to see the UGA Exchange Application Forms and Documents.

     - The Japanese Exchange Program database is now available on the Franklin web site. The database includes lists of courses offered on each exchange, and UGA equivalencies. My thanks again to Ari for creating this database, which will bring great consistency to the way these credits are transferred and will give the students a better idea of the options before they leave for Japan.

         Go to:  http://www.franklin.uga.edu/international/

A link to the list is at the bottom of the boxed list on the opening page, titled: “Japanese Exchange Programs course equivalency database”
The “database” is actually an Excel file, and the data in it, while still searchable, is locked, so that it cannot be altered.

  (3) Internships

An internship is a short-term, career-related experience, which includes an academically linked learning component. The majority of students seek full-time, paid internships during the summer and work a typical 40-hour/week schedule. However, many of the most sought after internships are unpaid. Students participating in an internship while taking a full load of courses typically don't work more than 15-20 hours a week and may even do an internship that's not for credit.

To help you in your search, we have provided a list of websites that may be helpful for you.

The application for the Summer 2016 internship will be available in the Spring 2016 semester.
Summer Internship Opportunities in Korea

The Korean language and literature program offers a short-term internship opportunity for students taking a Korean class. This is a non-credit, unpaid one-month summer program that combines intensive Korean language training and volunteer work. Selected students will be sent to Tongmyung University in Busan or Nonsan Daegeon High School in Nosan. Room and board will be provided by the host institutions. For further information, please contact Dr. Hyangsoon Yi (hyangsyi@uga.edu), Director of the Korean Language and Literature.
