Japanese sake master Maiko Tsuji of Gozenshu Tsuji Honten Sake Brewery was visiting UGA to give a talk on Japanese sake, followed by a tasting of sake imported from her brewery.

Venerable Sungak of Buddhanara Temple visited Professor Hyangsoon Yi's Odyssey Seminar Class ("From Entertainment to Enlightenment: Buddhism in Film") on November 9, 2015 and gave a special lecture on Korean Buddhist Monasticism.

Asian Film Studies: The Land of Many Palaces

CAS launched Asian Film Series at 214 Miller Learning Center on April 1, 2015 . The inaugural film chosen for this new series was The Land of Many Palaces, a documentary made in 2014 by Ting Song and Adam James Smith. The second annual CMLT Jamboree (March 25, 2015) was a great success! It featured a variety of student cultural displays from national and regional traditions across Asia and Africa from traditional dance to contemporary break dance, food, music, and martial arts. 


USSH leaders welcomed representatives of the University of Georgia, US

Associate Dean Noel Fallows and Dr. Hyangsoon Yi visited Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City in January, 2015 to discuss a possible student exchange between the two universities.
